Welcome to the Gallery section where you can browse through some of my work.
Most of my work is in the form of collagraph prints. A collagraph can be thought of as a print made from a collage. The word being a combination of 'colla' meaning glue and 'graph' meaning drawing. The plates that are inked and printed from can be made from many materials for example card, wood, plastic or alluminium. These plates can be added to or cut into or marked in many ways before being sealed and having ink applied to their surfaces. The pressure applied by the printing press not only transfers the ink onto the paper but embosses the impression of the plate into the paper, thus allowing for contrasts in texture. Each collagraph print I make varies in both colour, texture and often form. I do not produce editions but sometimes I produce variations, I can produce similar work to what you see here, but never exactly the same.
